Explosion - Hillsdale

A cockroach bomb has been blamed for an explosion in an apartment block at Hillsdale, in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Firefighters arrived at the Brittain Crescent address at 4pm today and found the blast had blown out a number of windows in the second floor unit.

No-one was hurt in the incident.

Fire crews cleared the unit of debris and rendered the scene safe.
