FRNSW crews extinguish large factory fire - Regents Park

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has extinguished a large fire which engulfed a factory in Sydney's west this morning.
The blaze broke out around 6.30am inside a building, containing bookbinding equipment, on Clapham Road in Regents Park.
More than 15 fire trucks and 60 firefighters were called to the scene.
It was quickly discovered the factory contained blocks of highly-flammable magnesium.
Firefighters initially entered the building to attack the flames and confirm no-one was inside, but were forced to retreat when an explosion occurred.
They continued to attack the fire from a safe distance outside.
One firefighter sustained magnesium burns to his left forearm whilst another was treated for an elevated heart rate.
Both have been taken to hospital for assessment.
A third firefighter and a worker were assessed at the scene but did not require further treatment.
HAZMAT crews monitored the impact of the smoke plume and worked to protect local waterways from possible water run-off.
The fire was extinguished around 8:30am.
Roads were closed between Mary Street and Woods Road.
FRNSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit (FIRU) will now investigate the cause and origin of the fire, alongside NSW Police.
