House Fire - Wyong

Crews from Wyong and Hamlyn Terrace Fire Stations were called to a house fire in Harvey St, Wyong.
Firefighters worked to extinguish fire which intial investigations suggested started in the kitchen.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said the leading cause of house fires in NSW is leaving cooking unattended and it was important the community remembered to keep looking when cooking.
"If your cooking catches fire, never use water to put out a fat or oil fire, turn off the stove if it is safe to do so and call Triple Zero (000)."
