House Fire - Minto

Just after 9.30 last night Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a House Fire in Macedon St, Minto after receiving numerous Triple Zero (000) calls reporting smoke in the area.
On arrival crews from St Andrews Fire Station found a single level brick house well alight with flames issuing from the roof of the home.
Firefighters quickly commended firefighting efforts while also performing a search and rescue of the premises to ensure no one was home at the time.
Luckily no one was injured in the blaze however the home was significantly damaged.
Fire investigators are currently on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.
"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
