School Fire - Singleton

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has extinguished a school fire on Patrick Street, Singleton, overnight.
Firefighters arrived to find the former school complex on fire with 2 buildings alight in the abandoned section of the school.
FRNSW crews gained access using power saws and specialised tools to enter the boarded-up buildings to extinguish the fire.
Once firefighters had controlled and extinguished the fire, the scene was handed to NSW Police for further investigation.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for an emergency can be the difference between life and death.
