Unit Block alight - East Gosford

Just after 8.00pm last night, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to numerous calls about a unit fire on Russell Street, East Gosford.
Upon arrival, crews saw smoke and flames issuing from a top-floor unit.
Firefighters entered the building with their specialised breathing apparatus and found two units well alight.
Crews quickly managed to contain and extinguish the blaze to those two units. Four other units in the complex suffered heat and smoke damage.
All residents self-evacuated and no reported injuries.
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were also on scene at the incident..
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
