House Fire - North Lambton
Published: 10 Feb 2022 01:26pm
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have extinguished a burning home at North Lambton in Newcastle this afternoon.
Seven fire trucks were called to the home in Lester Parade just before 1.30pm.
A large amount of smoke was billowing from the single storey property.
All the occupants were accounted for as fire crews cut power and gas supplies to the house.
Eight firefighters, in breathing apparatus, then entered the home with fire hoses and doused the fire in the living room.
The cause of the fire is still being determined.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
