Shed Fire - Maison Dieu
Published: 11 Feb 2022 11:26am
Fire and Rescue FRNSW (FRNSW) and NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) are currently battling a shed fire, west of Singleton.
Upon initial arrival at the property on Maison Dieu Road at 11.30 am, firefighters found the shed fully engulfed in flames.
Due to a lack of water, crews are relaying water through a NSW RFS tanker on scene.
The intense heat has caused the shed to partially collapse.
A firefighter was treated by NSW Ambulance for heat stress but has since been given the all-clear.
Operations are ongoing.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
