Unit Fire - Revesby
Published: 13 Feb 2022 08:37pm
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) received numerous calls to a unit on fire tonight at Revesby in Sydney's south-west.
On arrival at Blackall Street, fire crews found smoke and flames issuing from a single level unit, flanked either side by two-storey apartments.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus immediately began attacking the blaze and found there were no occupants in the unit.
Fire crews evacuated residents from the adjacent units.
The middle apartment was severely damaged by the fire.
The cause of the blaze will be determined by the Fire Investigation Unit and NSW Police.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
