Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has contained a large building fire at Forbes in the state's Central West this afternoon.
More than 25 firefighters have knocked down the fire in the Spotlight store in Lamb Street.
The neighbouring Bunnings Warehouse and a pizza shop were evacuated as a precaution.
Part of the roof has collapsed at the main entrance of the store and crews are working to extinguish the blaze completely.
NSW Rural Fire Service ( RFS ) is assisting FRNSW with the fire.
NSW Police is also on scene.
FRNSW's Fire Investigation Unit is en route with the accelerant detection dog to try and determine the cause of the blaze.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
