One adult and four children have been treated for minor smoke inhalation by NSW Ambulance following a house fire in Orange in the State's Central West early this morning.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) was called to the Pindari Place residence just before 4.00am.
Upon arrival, crews reported a large glow from the property and were unable to enter the house due to the intensity of the fire.
Firefighters initially stopped the fire from spreading to adjoining properties before working to contain the main fire.
It took crews approximately two hours to completely extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by NSW Police.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
