Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) investigators are trying to determine the cause of a house fire yesterday at Rydalmere in Sydney's west.
Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received about the house ablaze in Fallon Street around 11.30am.
When FRNSW crews arrived, the single-level house was well alight, with the fire impacting a neighboring property.
More than 10 firefighters battled the blaze and contained the flames to two rooms, within 30 minutes.
An occupant of the house suffered minor burns.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.
"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
