Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has extinguished a large fire which engulfed a two storey home under construction in Sydney's south west overnight.
Multiple Triple Zero (000) calls were received about the blaze which broke out in the property on Jindabyne Street, Bossley Park around 11.30 pm.
Upon arrival, crews found large volumes of smoke and flames through the roof of the home.
More than five fire trucks, a specialist aerial appliance and 20 firefighters worked for 90 minutes to extinguish the fire.
The vacant home suffered significant structural damage in the blaze.
Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
