FRNSW teams on the way to flood-impacted Eugowra - Central West
Published: 14 Nov 2022 03:55pm
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is deploying emergency teams to Eugowra, in the state's Central West, which has been inundated by intense floodwaters, resulting in more than 100 rescues.
A specialist in-water rescue team and a strike team leader left FRNSW headquarters in Sydney this afternoon, bound for the tiny township.
They will be joined by a FRNSW station crew from Hurstville, in Sydney's south, and a strike team redirected from Narrandera, in the state's Riverina.
With roads in and out of Eugowra currently cut-off, the teams will meet in Orange and be sent into the town as soon as possible.
FRNSW teams also continue to assist with clean-up efforts in Forbes, Parkes and Molong, where weather conditions are easing.
