40 residents evacuated, man treated for smoke inhalation during car park fire - Guildford

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have evacuated around 40 residents from an apartment block during a car park fire at Guildford, in Sydney's west, overnight.
The fire broke out in a vehicle in the basement of the Woodville Road property around 10.30pm.
Three FRNSW trucks from Guildford and Chester Hill Fire Stations were quickly on the scene and extinguished the blaze.
They escorted the residents of the four-storey block to safety as a precaution.
A 40-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital.
Firefighters ventilated the car park and declared the all-clear just before midnight, allowing residents to return to their homes.
