Two people evacuate home with roof on fire - Riverstone

Occupants of a Riverstone home near Blacktown in western Sydney have safely evacuated from their property after being alerted their roof was on fire by the neighbours.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to reports of the fire in King Street just after 1.00pm after the occupants called Triple Zero (000) from outside the home.
The blaze was in the roof space and ceiling and quickly spread to the second level.
Firefighters battled the fire inside the dwelling but their efforts were hampered when the roof structure partially collapsed.
Crews extinguished the blaze within an hour and there were no reported injuries.
FRNSW and NSW Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire however it is believed to be electrical in nature.
