Business and undertakings
Any person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) of a given building, site or facility may be required to lodge, notify or transact with Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) on a specific matter. These are generally legislated requirements that require the owner of the business or undertaking, or their nominated representative, to administer specific information with FRNSW on the given matter.
Lodge a fire safety statement
The owner of a building having a fire safety schedule is required to provide a copy of the fire safety statement to the Commissioner of FRNSW.
Lodge a fire safety certificate
The owner of a building having a fire safety schedule is required to provide a copy of the fire safety certificate to the Commissioner of FRNSW.
Connect an automatic fire alarm
The owner of a protected premises is required to connect the automatic fire alarm system with a current approved automatic fire alarm service provider (AFASP).
Lodge an emergency plan
Any PCBU of a manifest quantity workplace (MQW), major hazard facility (MHF) or licensed explosives site, must provide a copy of their emergency plan to FRNSW.
Lodge a radiation gauge notification
Any PCBU of any facility that uses, handles or stores radiation must notify FRNSW of the location of all radiation sources, and the radiation gauges being used.
Lodge notification of group homes premises
Any PCBU of any group home should notify FRNSW of the premises so that FRNSW can plan an appropriate response to the group home in the event of an emergency.
