Fire Safety

Fire related injuries and deaths rise significantly in the cooler months and Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters are urging the community to spend the month of May preparing their homes for a safe season.

Their top tips for a fire safe home include:

  • Install a working smoke alarm on every level of your home.
  • Check electric and gas heaters before use. Check cords for fraying and damage.
  • Draw, discuss and practice an escape plan with your household.
